Our Mission

Our mission is to encourage all of our visitors to read the Bible. We ask current Bible readers to read their Bibles more, and others to start reading God's Word for the first time. We also encourage visitors to study Biblical Greek and Hebrew, the original languages of the Scriptures.

If you spend any time reading the passages on our site, you soon find that the text is an absolute mess.

Words are out of place, and the meanings behind powerful scriptures are frequently destroyed.

While BabelFishBible.com may appear to be the Bible at first glance, it is actually a poor imitation of the Bible.

Why We Did It:

Many people grew up with the Bible, and can recognize familiar scriptures when they are quoted.

Many of those same people do not read their Bibles for long periods of time.

Ministers often turn to other books for insights, and are also guilty of neglecting the Guidebook God gave to us.

We too readily trust that scriptures shown in sermon PowerPoint presentations are presented accurately, and in context.

We may even go on outings to witness to non-believers, and in our unprepared states, we badly botch the few scriptures we partially remember that pertain to salvation.

When we misrepresent God's Word, our words can become nothing more than babble.

We hope that our ridiculous representation of what happens without a scriptural foundation, will be a wake up call to many, and point them back to the Truth.

Why Greek and Hebrew?

Our second desire is to inspire people to learn the languages of the Bible, for deeper study.

While the Truths of the Bible transcend all languages, there are many benefits to reading the Bible in its original languages.

If you look at the number of words and ideas that have been lost in our ridiculous imitation version of the Bible, you begin to understand what can be lost in any translation. Often, the Greek and Hebrew languages have numerous words with careful variances in meaning that are all translated to the same word in English.

Reading the Bible in its original languages allows us to understand God's Word with even greater clarity, and reflect with greater insight.

Warning: This is NOT the Bible
